1-2-3 Black Friday 2026: Terms for Existing Customers
These terms are for existing customers. Your 123NET line was switched on before 28 October 2026, and you want a faster plan or +Premium. This page is all you need to read.
Want a brand-new line at an address that has no active 123NET service? New customers have their own deal and their own terms: Terms for New Customers.
The short version
- Upgrade to a higher tier within GO, or within HOME, and pay half of the price difference for 12 months.
- HOME plans: add +Premium for R49 a month for 6 months.
- A tier upgrade gives you a 2-year price lock.
- Ask between 28 October and 30 November 2026.
This is only a summary. The numbered terms below are the full rules.
1. When does this run, and what do the words mean?
1.1 The promotion runs from 28 October 2026, 00:00 to 30 November 2026, 23:59, South African time. We call this the "promotion period".
1.2 This promotion has two separate deals: one for existing customers (these terms) and one for new customers. A line can receive only one of the two deals.
1.3 Advertising and the short version above are only summaries. These terms are the full rules. If a price or other detail in our advertising is an obvious error, clause 11.4 applies.
1.4 In these terms, "we", "us" and "123NET" mean 123NET. "You" means the customer.
1.5 These words have a fixed meaning in these terms:
- Order. A 123NET agreement for a new line, signed during the promotion period and received by us by 30 November 2026, 23:59. If it is a Digital Agreement order, the time of the signature counts.
- Request. A request to upgrade or to add +Premium, made in the Customer Portal during the promotion period.
- Address. One single premises: one house, or one unit in a sectional-title scheme, complex or estate, identified by its unit number.
- Standard price. The monthly price of a plan, before any promotional discount. It does not include add-ons or once-off charges. It is the price published on 123net.co.za.
- Billing month. A calendar month, billed from the 1st.
- Month 1. The first full billing month that starts on or after the day your upgrade or +Premium takes effect. If that day is the 1st, that month is month 1. The months after it are month 2, month 3, and so on.
2. Who can get this?
2.1 You can get the existing customers deal for a GO or HOME line that was activated before 28 October 2026, if you make your request during the promotion period and, on the day of your request:
- your account has no overdue balance;
- no notice of cancellation has been given for the line; and
- the line is not receiving a discount or benefit under another promotion. This includes the new customers deal in this promotion and the 1-Up Fibre Deal. Benefits you already received under this deal, and Bring Your Friends Over credits, do not count.
2.2 A line ordered during the promotion period does not qualify for this deal. Nor does a line ordered before 28 October 2026 that is activated on or after 28 October 2026: it gets the new customers deal.
2.3 This deal does not apply to SOHO Business, Small Business, Fibre Bites or Holiday plans.
3. What do I get?
3.1 Tier upgrade at half the price difference. If you upgrade to a higher tier within GO, or within HOME, during the promotion period, you pay half of the price difference. The discount applies pro-rata to the rest of the billing month in which the upgrade takes effect, and then to months 1 to 12. From month 13, the standard price of the plan you hold applies.
3.2 +Premium for R49. HOME customers who add +Premium during the promotion period pay R49 a month: pro-rata for the rest of the billing month in which it is added, and then for months 1 to 6.
3.3 +Premium switches off by itself. +Premium is removed automatically at the start of month 7. You can add it again at any time at the standard price of R300 a month.
3.4 A 2-year price lock. A tier upgrade includes a 2-year price lock from the day of the upgrade (see section 5). Any commitment already on your line stays in place until its own end date.
3.5 You can combine +Premium with a tier upgrade.
3.6 The 12 discount months and the 2-year price lock both run from your first upgrade under this deal. Later upgrades do not start them again.
4. What will I pay?
4.1 Your baseline plan. The baseline plan is the highest-priced plan you held on the line at any time between 1 August 2026 and the day of your first upgrade under this deal. A downgrade made before or during the promotion period does not lower the baseline.
4.2 Your promotional ceiling. The promotional ceiling is the highest-priced plan held on, or requested for, the line by 30 November 2026, 23:59. If the line is later downgraded, the promotional ceiling becomes the lower plan.
4.3 Your monthly discount. The discount is fixed in rand on the day of the upgrade. It is half of the difference between the standard prices, on that day, of (a) the lower of the plan you hold and the promotional ceiling, and (b) the baseline plan. It changes only if you downgrade (clause 6.2). The discount is never less than zero.
4.4 Upgrades after 30 November 2026. They are charged at the full price difference above the promotional ceiling. The discount you already earned continues for the rest of the 12 months.
4.5 +Premium for R49: who cannot get it. If you remove +Premium before month 7, you cannot add it again at R49. This deal does not apply to a line that already has +Premium, or that had +Premium at any time between 1 August 2026 and the day of your request.
4.6 An example. Say you held Home S (R499) on 1 August 2026, and you upgrade to Home L (R799) in November 2026. Home S is your baseline plan. The difference between the standard prices is R300. Half of it is R150. So you pay R649 a month for 12 months, and from month 13 you pay R799.
4.7 More examples.
| Your change in November 2026 | Months 1 to 6 | Months 7 to 12 | From month 13 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Home XS + Premium | R448 (R399 + R49) | R399, Premium removed | R399 |
| Home S to Home L | R649 | R649 | R799 |
| Home M to Home XL | R849 | R849 | R999 |
| Home S to Home L + Premium | R698 (R649 + R49) | R649, Premium removed | R799 |
| GO S to GO L | R579 | R579 | R729 |
| Home XS to Home M in November, then Home L in February | R549 until February, then R649 | R649 | R799 |
Prices are in rand per month, VAT included, at today's standard prices.
5. What is the 2-year price lock?
5.1 What it means for you. For 24 months, the standard monthly price of your plan will not go up, whatever happens to fibre prices in the market. Only a change in the VAT rate can change it. The promotional prices still end when sections 3 and 4 say they end. The lock stays on your line for the full 24 months. It moves with you if you move within 123NET's coverage. If we lower the standard price of your plan during the 24 months, you get the lower price.
5.2 Who gets it. Every tier upgrade under this deal, from the day of the upgrade.
5.3 What is locked. The standard price of the plan on your line. The lock covers the standard price. It does not cover the promotional prices in sections 3 and 4, which end as set out there.
5.4 What is not locked. Add-ons (including +Premium at R300 a month), once-off charges and changes in the VAT rate.
5.5 If we lower the price. If we lower the standard price of your plan during the 24 months, the lower price applies, and the lock continues at that lower price.
5.6 Upgrades. When you upgrade, the lock moves to the new plan at its standard price on the day of the upgrade. The 24 months do not start again.
5.7 Downgrades. When you downgrade, the lock moves to the lower plan at its standard price on the day the downgrade takes effect, but never more than the locked price of the plan you are leaving. The 24 months do not start again.
5.8 Moving home. If your line moves to another address inside our fibre coverage, using our standard move process, the lock moves with it.
5.9 If we change your plan. If we rename, replace or discontinue your plan during the 24 months, your line moves to the equivalent plan at no more than the locked price.
5.10 When the lock ends. The lock ends at the end of month 24, or earlier if the line is cancelled or changes between GO and HOME. After that, the standard price of the plan at that time applies. The lock belongs to the line. It cannot be transferred to another person or address, except by a move under clause 5.8.
6. What if I change my plan?
6.1 Upgrading again. Later upgrades follow clauses 3.6, 4.3 and 4.4.
6.2 Downgrades. A downgrade takes effect on the 1st of the following month. We then recalculate your discount under clause 4.3, using the standard prices on the day of your upgrade. If the line returns to, or goes below, the baseline plan, the discount ends for good.
6.3 From GO to HOME, or from HOME to GO. A change between a GO plan and a HOME plan needs a new agreement. It does not qualify for this deal.
7. How do I ask for it?
7.1 How to ask. Make your request in the Customer Portal during the promotion period. A request made in any other way, such as by phone or email, does not count.
8. What if I leave early?
8.1 If there is a commitment on your line, any early cancellation fee under that commitment's own terms applies.
9. What if I move house?
9.1 If your line moves to another address inside our fibre coverage, using our standard move process, all your remaining promotional benefits and your commitment move with it. If the new address is outside our coverage, our standard terms apply.
10. What if I refer a friend?
This is the Bring Your Friends Over programme.
10.1 A referred line ordered during the promotion period earns the customer who referred it double credit. The credit is twice the standard price of the lowest-priced plan held on the referred line during its first 3 billing months. Add-ons and once-off charges are not counted. If the referred line is on the new customers deal, half of that standard price is used (for GO XL, half of R829).
10.2 The credit is added after the referred line's third monthly payment is processed. The referred line must be activated by 31 January 2027. If it is activated later, it still qualifies, unless the delay was caused by the referred customer. For example: there was no access to the property, or the customer was not available for a booked installation.
10.3 The referring customer's account must be active, with no overdue balance, when the credit is added. A customer cannot refer themselves, their own address or their own customer ID number.
10.4 All other Bring Your Friends Over rules apply. The referring customer's number must be on the new customer's order before the line is activated. The credit has no cash value.
11. The small print
11.1 This promotion cannot be combined with any other promotion, except the referral bonus in section 10.
11.2 If we improve this promotion during the promotion period, the improved terms apply to every qualifying order and request made during the promotion period.
11.3 We may refuse an order or request, or withdraw the promotional benefits and recover their value, if you gave false information, or used another person's identity, a false address or more than one account to get a benefit that these terms do not allow.
11.4 We may correct obvious errors in published prices or promotional material.
11.5 All prices are in South African rand and include VAT. Speeds are "up to" maximums. On HOME plans the physical connection is limited to 1,000 Mbps.
11.6 Our standard Terms and Conditions apply in all other respects.
