1-2-3 Black Friday 2026: Terms for New Customers
These terms are for new customers. You are getting a new fibre line from 123NET. This page is all you need to read.
Already have a 123NET line, and want to upgrade it or add +Premium? Existing customers have their own deal and their own terms: Terms for Existing Customers.
The short version
- Half price for months 1 to 3.
- Month 12 free.
- Your plan's price locked for 24 months.
- HOME plans: +Premium free for up to 6 months. GO plans: a free Speed Boost for 6 months.
- You need a 12-month commitment.
- Order between 28 October and 30 November 2026. A line ordered earlier but switched on on or after 28 October 2026 also gets this deal. Be switched on by 31 January 2027.
This is only a summary. The numbered terms below are the full rules.
1. When does this run, and what do the words mean?
1.1 The promotion runs from 28 October 2026, 00:00 to 30 November 2026, 23:59, South African time. We call this the "promotion period".
1.2 This promotion has two separate deals: one for new customers (these terms) and one for existing customers. A line can receive only one of the two deals.
1.3 Advertising and the short version above are only summaries. These terms are the full rules. If a price or other detail in our advertising is an obvious error, clause 11.8 applies.
1.4 In these terms, "we", "us" and "123NET" mean 123NET. "You" means the customer.
1.5 These words have a fixed meaning in these terms:
- Order. You sign a 123NET agreement for a new line during the promotion period, and we receive it by 30 November 2026, 23:59. If you sign a Digital Agreement, the time of your signature counts.
- Request. A request to upgrade or to add +Premium, made in the Customer Portal during the promotion period.
- Address. One single premises: one house, or one unit in a sectional-title scheme, complex or estate, identified by its unit number.
- Standard price. The monthly price of a plan, before any promotional discount. It does not include add-ons or once-off charges. It is the price published on 123net.co.za.
- Billing month. A calendar month, billed from the 1st.
- Month 1. The first full billing month that starts on or after the day your line is activated. If that day is the 1st, that month is month 1. The months after it are month 2, month 3, and so on.
2. Who can get this?
2.1 You can get the new customers deal for a new line on a GO or HOME plan if all of these are true:
- you order it during the promotion period, or you ordered it before 28 October 2026 and it is activated on or after 28 October 2026;
- it has a 12-month commitment;
- the address is inside 123NET's fibre coverage and has no active 123NET service; and
- the line is activated by 31 January 2027.
2.2 If your line is activated after 31 January 2027, you still qualify, unless the delay was caused by you. For example: there was no access to the property, or you were not available for a booked installation.
2.3 Are you already a 123NET customer? You qualify only for a new line at a different address that has no active 123NET service. We look at the line and the address, not at your billing account.
2.4 You do not qualify if:
- the line is month-to-month without a 12-month commitment;
- you are moving an existing line to a new address;
- you are changing an existing line (existing customers have their own deal);
- 123NET service for the same customer ID number ended within 1 month before your order;
- 123NET service at the same address ended within 1 month before your order, unless you are a new occupant (see clause 2.6);
- you have an overdue balance on any 123NET account; or
- the plan is a SOHO Business, Small Business, Fibre Bites or Holiday plan.
2.5 You can get this for one line per address.
2.6 New occupants. Are you ordering at an address where 123NET service ended within 1 month before your order? Then you qualify only if you give us, with your order, proof that you took occupation of the address after the previous account holder's service started. The proof is:
- for a rented property, a signed lease agreement in your name; or
- for an owned property, the sale or transfer document in your name.
We may check the document. We may refuse the order if it is missing or incomplete. If the document is false, clause 11.7 applies.
3. What do I get?
3.1 Half price for months 1 to 3. You pay 50% of your plan's standard price for months 1 to 3. The part-month before month 1 is also billed pro-rata at half price. The discount does not apply to add-ons or once-off charges.
3.2 Month 12 free. We put a credit on your month 12 invoice. The credit equals the standard price of the lowest-priced plan you held on the line at any time from the start of month 9 to the 1st of month 12. It does not cover add-ons or once-off charges. It has no cash value and cannot be transferred. You must meet the conditions in section 7.
3.3 2-year price lock from the day your line is activated. See section 5.
3.4 HOME plans: +Premium free until the end of month 6.
- You did not order +Premium: we add it free of charge, and we remove it automatically at the start of month 7. You can add it again at any time at the standard price of R300 a month.
- You ordered a plan with +Premium: it is free until the end of month 6. From month 7 it is billed at R300 a month, until you remove it.
3.5 GO plans: Speed Boost until the end of month 6. Your line gets the 12-month-commitment speed of the next GO tier, at the price of the plan you chose. From month 7 your line goes back to the speed of your plan. Speeds are "up to" maximums.
3.6 GO XL. There is no higher tier, so GO XL gets no Speed Boost. Instead, GO XL is billed at the GO L+ standard price (R829) from activation until the end of month 6. Half price applies to R829: R414.50 for months 1 to 3, and pro-rata at R414.50 for the part-month before month 1.
3.7 When +Premium and the Speed Boost start. They start once your first debit order has been collected successfully. They still end at the end of month 6.
4. What will I pay?
4.1 All prices are per month, in rand, VAT included. Speeds are "up to" maximums.
4.2 HOME plans
| Plan | Standard price | Months 1 to 3 | Month 12 | +Premium |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Home XS | R399 | R199.50 | R0 | Free months 1 to 6 |
| Home S | R499 | R249.50 | R0 | Free months 1 to 6 |
| Home S+ | R599 | R299.50 | R0 | Free months 1 to 6 |
| Home M | R699 | R349.50 | R0 | Free months 1 to 6 |
| Home L | R799 | R399.50 | R0 | Free months 1 to 6 |
| Home L+ | R899 | R449.50 | R0 | Free months 1 to 6 |
| Home XL | R999 | R499.50 | R0 | Free months 1 to 6 |
| Home XXL | R1,699 | R849.50 | R0 | Free months 1 to 6 |
How to read the HOME table:
- In months 4 to 11 and months 13 to 24 you pay the standard price.
- The prices are for the plan only.
- Month 12 shows R0 for the plan. Add-ons are still billed, including +Premium from month 7 if you keep it.
- If you ordered a plan with +Premium, the half-price discount applies to the plan, and +Premium is free until the end of month 6 (clause 3.4).
4.3 GO plans
| Plan | Standard price | Speed (up to) | Speed in months 1 to 6 (up to) | Months 1 to 3 | Month 12 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GO XS | R329 | 20 Mbps | 35 Mbps | R164.50 | R0 |
| GO S | R429 | 35 Mbps | 55 Mbps | R214.50 | R0 |
| GO S+ | R529 | 55 Mbps | 80 Mbps | R264.50 | R0 |
| GO M | R629 | 80 Mbps | 115 Mbps | R314.50 | R0 |
| GO L | R729 | 115 Mbps | 225 Mbps | R364.50 | R0 |
| GO L+ | R829 | 225 Mbps | 400 Mbps | R414.50 | R0 |
| GO XL | R929 | 400 Mbps | 400 Mbps | R414.50 | R0 |
How to read the GO table:
- The GO speeds shown are the 12-month-commitment speeds.
- In months 4 to 11 and months 13 to 24 you pay the standard price.
- GO XL is the one exception. It is R829 in months 4 to 6, and R929 from month 7 (months 7 to 11 and months 13 to 24).
- Month 12 shows R0 for the plan. Add-ons are still billed.
4.4 Two examples, using the tables above:
Home XS (standard price R399)
- Months 1 to 3: R199.50 a month.
- Months 1 to 6: +Premium is free. It is removed at the start of month 7, unless you ordered a plan with +Premium.
- Months 4 to 11: R399 a month.
- Month 12: R0 for the plan.
- Months 13 to 24: R399 a month, locked.
GO M (standard price R629)
- Months 1 to 3: R314.50 a month.
- Months 1 to 6: speed up to 115 Mbps. From month 7: up to 80 Mbps.
- Months 4 to 11: R629 a month.
- Month 12: R0 for the plan.
- Months 13 to 24: R629 a month, locked.
5. What is the 2-year price lock?
5.1 What it means for you. For 24 months, the standard monthly price of your plan will not go up, whatever happens to fibre prices in the market. Only a change in the VAT rate can change it. The promotional prices still end when sections 3 and 4 say they end. The lock stays on your line for the full 24 months, even after your 12-month commitment ends. It moves with you if you move within 123NET's coverage. If we lower the standard price of your plan during the 24 months, you get the lower price.
5.2 Who gets it. Every new customers line, from the day it is activated.
5.3 What is locked. The standard price of the plan on your line. The lock covers the standard price. It does not cover the promotional prices in sections 3 and 4, which end as set out there.
5.4 What is not locked. Add-ons (including +Premium at R300 a month), once-off charges and changes in the VAT rate.
5.5 If we lower the price. If we lower the standard price of your plan during the 24 months, the lower price applies, and the lock continues at that lower price.
5.6 Upgrades. When you upgrade, the lock moves to the new plan at its standard price on the day of the upgrade. The 24 months do not start again.
5.7 Downgrades. When you downgrade, the lock moves to the lower plan at its standard price on the day the downgrade takes effect, but never more than the locked price of the plan you are leaving. The 24 months do not start again.
5.8 Moving home. If your line moves to another address inside our fibre coverage, using our standard move process, the lock moves with it.
5.9 If we change your plan. If we rename, replace or discontinue your plan during the 24 months, your line moves to the equivalent plan at no more than the locked price.
5.10 When the lock ends. The lock ends at the end of month 24, or earlier if the line is cancelled or changes between GO and HOME. After that, the standard price of the plan at that time applies. The lock belongs to the line. It cannot be transferred to another person or address, except by a move under clause 5.8.
6. What if I change my plan?
6.1 Upgrades take effect immediately. After an upgrade:
- any half-price months you have left are charged at half of the new plan's standard price (for GO XL until the end of month 6, half of R829);
- the price lock moves to the new plan (section 5);
- +Premium (HOME) continues until the end of month 6; and
- the Speed Boost (GO) moves to one tier above the new plan until the end of month 6. A line upgraded to GO XL is billed at R829 until the end of month 6.
6.2 Downgrades follow our standard policy and take effect on the 1st of the following month. Then the half-price months, the price lock and the month 12 credit follow the lower plan. During months 1 to 6, the Speed Boost (GO) moves to one tier above the lower plan, and +Premium (HOME) continues until the end of month 6. Your 12-month commitment is not reset.
6.3 From GO to HOME, or from HOME to GO. A change between a GO plan and a HOME plan, in either direction, needs a new agreement. The new customers benefits and the price lock end on the day of the change. The remaining months of your 12-month commitment carry over to the new agreement.
6.4 Your 12-month commitment ends at the end of month 12.
7. How do I pay?
7.1 A debit order is required. It must stay active for the whole 12-month commitment.
7.2 When do I lose my free month 12? You lose the month 12 credit if:
- you have an overdue amount on the day we issue the month 12 invoice;
- the line was suspended for non-payment at any time before month 12, unless the suspension was caused by a 123NET or bank error that was corrected; or
- the line is cancelled with effect from a date before the end of month 12, or is cancelled under section 8.
8. What if I leave early?
8.1 If you cancel the line before the end of your 12-month commitment, our standard early cancellation fee applies. It is the standard price for each remaining month of the commitment, plus the once-off construction fee of R2,500.
8.2 You must also pay back the half-price discounts you already received. You get no month 12 credit.
8.3 If you cancel within the cooling-off period in clause 11.6, there is no early cancellation fee and you do not pay back any discount. You only pay for the service you used, at the promotional price.
9. What if I move house?
9.1 If your line moves to another address inside our fibre coverage, using our standard move process, all your remaining promotional benefits and your commitment move with it. If the new address is outside our coverage, our standard terms apply.
10. What if a friend referred me, or I refer a friend?
This is the Bring Your Friends Over programme.
10.1 A referred line ordered during the promotion period earns the customer who referred it double credit. The credit is twice the standard price of the lowest-priced plan held on the referred line during its first 3 billing months. Add-ons and once-off charges are not counted. If the referred line is on the new customers deal, half of that standard price is used (for GO XL, half of R829).
10.2 The credit is added after the referred line's third monthly payment is processed. The activation deadline of 31 January 2027 applies to the referred line, with the late-activation rule in clause 2.2.
10.3 The referring customer's account must be active, with no overdue balance, when the credit is added. A customer cannot refer themselves, their own address or their own customer ID number.
10.4 All other Bring Your Friends Over rules apply. The referring customer's number must be on the new customer's order before the line is activated. The credit has no cash value.
11. The small print
11.1 The promotion applies only at addresses inside 123NET's fibre coverage, as confirmed by our coverage check. If installation is not possible (for example, there is no landlord or body corporate consent), the order is cancelled at no cost.
11.2 Standard installation and the free-to-use Wi-Fi 6 ONU router are included. Extra cabling or materials needed at free-standing houses are not included. We quote them separately before installation.
11.3 The once-off construction fee is waived under our standard terms for a 12-month commitment.
11.4 This promotion cannot be combined with any other promotion, except the referral bonus in section 10.
11.5 If we improve this promotion during the promotion period, the improved terms apply to every qualifying order and request made during the promotion period.
11.6 The standard 5-business-day cooling-off period applies to all new orders.
11.7 We may refuse an order or request, or withdraw the promotional benefits and recover their value, if you gave false information, or used another person's identity, a false address or more than one account to get a benefit that these terms do not allow.
11.8 We may correct obvious errors in published prices or promotional material.
11.9 All prices are in South African rand and include VAT. Speeds are "up to" maximums. On HOME plans the physical connection is limited to 1,000 Mbps.
11.10 Our standard Terms and Conditions apply in all other respects.
